Can't fit mags in with 30 rounds

I've got a bit of a problem. I've got two brand new mags with rangerplates and magpul followers that will not lock in the mag well with 30 rounds in them. The snap in real easy with 29 rounds, but no amount of pounding will get them in there if they are filled to capacity. What's up with that? Any suggestions?

Only put 29 rounds in?

Seriously that's what they tell you at carbine courses, to download a 30 to 28 or 29 to make sure the mag will seat quickly without having to beat on it. It's not unusual for regular 30 rounders to not seat with 30 rounds in them if the bolt is closed, with the extra power springs I bet it's a lost cause. You're only supposed to have 28-29 in there anyway.

The follower takes up additional space in the spring area. Load to 28.

mine is doing the same I will try the 29 thing haha

they should seat with the bolt held open. 29 is an easy fix
