Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Differences between bronze/brass and silver/gray colored 30-round mag springs?

I searched for this, but no luck.

While disassembling pre-ban and post-ban 30-round mags yesterday, I noted two types of springs: bronze/brass and silver/gray colored.  What are the differences between these two springs, if any?

Wondering if one was inherently better than the other.

I have about half and half in my mags.  Can't say one is better than the other.  I notice the newer mags and replacement springs have the copper or gold color.

silver/grey are most likely stainless - the darker are usually heat-treated spring steel.
