What is the total length  of the  mag when you  add a  Ranger plate to it?

using a ruler and putting the mag vertically next to it, it is 7.5" long.

The ranger plate basically adds 1" to the mag's length.   (At highest point it adds 1.1")

Thank you very much  .  So my guess  is  this  makes  finding mag pouches  that fit a  bit of a pain?

Try Eagle Industries. They have 30 round pouches that have adjustable top flaps that Quick Disconnect/ Open. Or find someone who offers a "velcro closure" top flap.

Standard USGI 3 Mag pouches are too short in depth, and can not be adjusted for this.
