Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Real?! My 15dollar colt mags

Hello All. I jsut recently bought 3 Colt  20rnders.  Two of  the floorplates say the following:
"Colt AR-15"
"Cal 5.56mm"
"Colt's PT.F.A.MFG.Co.INC"
"Hartford Conn. U.S.A."
While the Other is stampled
"Cal .223"
The Mag bodies that have "Cal.5.56" are stamped with what looks to be a "U" with an "I" inside it while the mag body of the  mag w/ the .233 has no stamp. Anyone have any info?

The ones stamped .223 are early Air Force issue mags from the 60's I believe.

the U I  is for Universal Industries, they made them under contract for Colt
