to accept longer bullets? I am shooting 68 gr Starke's and the bullets extend a hair beyond the magazine. Is there any way to modify the magazine to accept more than one at a time?  Pics would be a huge help

Have you checked overall length? For AR15/M16 I think it's 2.235 inches. If it meets that requirement, I'd try other magazines -- I would not recommend modding the hardware.

About 2.265 is the max OAL you can get in a GI 20rd mag. If your ammo is just past this, just run the rounds in a reloading press and seat the bullets deeper to fit in mag.

The only bullet that requires a longer than magazine lenght load is the 80 gr. Some HP shooters cut a notch in the top front of the magazine to accomidate the longer 80 gr bullet.
