The only time your magazines should be unloaded is just after you emptied them through your shooter.

The only thing 28 rounds in a 30 round magazine assures is you're two rounds short...

It is a good idea to only load up 28 rounds in a 30 round mag, if....uh....you only have 28 rounds handy.

If you have Orlites dont leave them loaded.

I hear ya, but I've never really had a problem with full mags. They just require a very firm smack to lock 'em in. |

Huh, all I do it slide the mag in, and then give it a push with my thumb to lock it in. |
