Picked up a LULA the other day. Had my nine year old daughter loading mags last night. Man! Is that thing nice! Quick and easy! She enjoyed it.

Now I'm wondering if I really need to get any more stripper clips. I've got about 150 stripper clips as it is.

Opinions?

I was a bit skeptical, BUt I thought why not. Now I have one for my AK and one for the AR15. I am thinking of buying a couple more for the AR15, one for each rifle woudl be great.

I have two for the AR's, one for the AK. I can't wait until the FAL and M14/AR10 versions come out.
Once you own one, you just can't go back!!

The purpose of stripper clips is to be able to load/reload mags RIGHT NOW, when you need to in an emergency. No loose rounds to drop or count, no boxes to open, etc. The tradeoff is that you have to invest the time, ahead of time, to load them up. Everyone should have at least SOME ammo loaded up on strippers.

For normal day-to-day stuff, the LULA can't be beat!

True enough. I have a bunch of ammo on stripper clips, in bandoleers, in case of a "right now" situation. Hell, I even have a couple of cases of C77 all on Thermold strippers way back in the back there somewhere...

Combat probably takes 5-10 seconds with stripper clips to load a 30 rd magazine (including grabbing the preloaded clips from your bandoleer).
LULA 30 seconds, if you are good with your loose ammo.
Bench LULA - 2-3 seconds but has to be vehicle or bench mounted and costs $300.

I say that knowing the IDF uses LULA and having no criticism of either method - they both beat thumbing the rounds in by hand. That said, I have both.

For non-combat conditions (like going to the range) the LULA is clearly superior as you have no little tabs to break and don't have to pick up the clips.

i have one. I still prefer stripper clips. true you have to spend some time loading them but clipped ammo is easier to transport and load quickly for me.

it really does work well though.

Why do you have to mount the bench loader?

Bought my brother a LULA after I learned that he and the kids he works with have to count unload/load magazines for some warrior types at least once a week. Apparently some of the people he works with can't fathom how to properly load and unload a magazine, without injuring themselves.

Clip loading is the preferred method. US and Israeli military ammunition comes on clips, the IDF doesn't sit there loading loose ammo with LULA. They know how slow it is compared to clips. LULA is used to load boxed ammunition, something rarely issued to military units in a war zone -- but because it's less expensive is very common for training issue.

Your next case of ammo use LULA to load all your magazines -- all as in ALL. If that doesn't use up the case clip the remaining ammo so you can do a quick load later. If you don't perceive that need just leave the ammo in boxes and LULA it as needed.

LULA is part of my kit although I normally used clipped ammo. As previously mentioned I'd sure like one for the M14 as those lil 5 round clips are tedious to load.

Just like there's no need to say "snow skiis" there's no need to say "stripper clips." They're just clips. Other clips need an adjective, these don't.

I use the Beta Cmag loader.

I pretty much never unload a mag by any method other than firing the ammo.

I have a bunch of clipped ammo stashed away in .50 cal cans. For a day's shooting at the range? LULA all the way. It rules. Now they need to make a FAL, M14, and Uzi (UZI UZI UZI) version! Get to it, and I promise I'll buy some!

Really slick. I got 2 for the ARs and 1 for the AK. Use them a lot. Also have "clips" but never use them any more. Just keep a few laying around, loaded up.

The IDF here in Israel use ONLY loose rounds. Stripper clips were used many years ago, but no more. Rounds come in brown boxes of 30 rounds each, from IMI.

Our products, the LULA loaders/unloaders and BenchLoaders, are the only means here for loading those rounds, apart from finger loading. And, as you are all aware, there is much loading in our territory.

Soon to be manufactured are LULA loaders/unloaders for MP5, Colt and Uzi magazines. They will be shipped to the US as soon as they pass our rigorous tests, which include test-loading simulation of at least 1,000 magazines with a single LULA loader.

Same trick, same quality.

WOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Kick ass! Any chance of one for an M14 mag, and a FAL mag in your future? I love my LULAs!

AR10 should be very similar to M14 - might be able to make one too for both. AR10's use converted M14 mags.

Also, Thanks for a great product, and keep up the good work on all other things in Israel.

Bushmaster has a speed loader that uses clips for about $30 dollars. Just drop clip into loader and push down. A lot easier and faster then using clips with hands.
