I have a $130 credit with DSArms...

I am building my first AR15... a M&A 16" carbine with mid-length forend, A2 buttstock.

What accessories should I buy?

Mags, and what else?

How many mags?

Thanks!!!!

I'll buy the mags here since you can usually find a better deal here compared to DSA's price for the mags (I assume you are talking about AR15 mags and not FAL mags).

For FAL stuff, I like the European Walnut furniture set. I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on that one since I still have an Ironwood set that I never finished.

Thanks, but I was talking about AR stuff. And the credit there is "use it or lose it" I cannot cash it out. So I eventually have to buy something. Keep those ideas coming, please.

Since you can't cash out your credit, here are my suggestions:

I have a set of these on my A1 carbine, it works very well.

Yeah, I know you can get them cheaper here on EE, but if you have to use up the credit at DSA...

I would have mentioned the various rail accessory fore-ends, but none of them fit your mid-length carbine.

Just curious, why the A2 stock, unless you have long arms or do a lot of prone target shooting?  I think the A1 stock (called the C1 by Cavalry Arms) is a better choice for a carbine.

Also, do you have a flattop upper?

Yes, I have long arms. And I will probably do  fair amount of prone shooting.
