These are LEO only mags, how many would be interesting in a group buy on these to get the price down. Best price I've found so far is $34.25 each.

HK is using regional distributor control to limit competition.

Sounds quite absurd to re-import them to Europe, but they can't be found here, so if your dealer is willing to take paypal payment & to ship to Europe, I would take [b]four[/b]. Maybe even one of the group buy participants could help me out by taking more and then selling/shipping me four?

If you can get us a firm price & quantity, I will probably be in for at least 5-6.

Edited to Add: I will check around with my agency & others in our county to see how many other officers might be interested, once we firm up the price.

We've got to get to the 100 range before we will see a good price. I don't know if we can make that level.

I could buy them myself but then I would want to mark them up, which defeats the purpose of a group order.

What is needed proof of law officer, or FFL, that's the only group that can get these. The Steel SA80 mags are in DSA for $15.00 but these are the old models.

What we are after is the new design Steel HK SA80/A2 mags which somebody posted some pics of I believe.

The dealer/distributor will be required to get the letterhead request and keep it on file, regardless if the sale is to an agency or individual officer. I have never seen anything that actually spells out a requirement for a sale between individual officers, although most seem satisfied with a copy of LE ID to ensure that they are actually selling to an LEO.

LEO ID is all thats required. Post a firm price when you get it, the best I can do around me is $40.60.

PP, I think the label on some LEO mags give the definite answer- they say LEO/military/export only. I guess one of the few advantages living in the EC is that we fall under the export clause... So if the dealer is willing to ship to Europe- no legal problem.

Sorry to inform you guys but my regional H&K supplier isn't willing to give much on a deal for 100 mags.
price individually is $39.00
price for 100 is $37.00

So it is not worth the hassle.

Anybody a FFL in PA that deals with Jerry's Sport center? I have always found them the cheapest but they won't ship to me in Florida because it is not there territory. Would be curious what they are charging.

Any chance one of the E&E dealers will jump in and offer these mags? Dealing with them is sooo much more comfortable than with some unknown H&K dealer.

My HK LE dealer commented to me that the military recently placed an order for 1,000,000 of the magazines. He doesn't think HK has that type of stock, and figures it may be awhile before supplies come out for LEO or dealers.

Have you heard anything similar?

I imagine the goverment, will get them cheap and on the installment plan.

I just spoke to a LE dealer in Washington state. His price is $40, no matter what quantity. I'm interested in four if the deal is still going. Thanks.

Best price I could get at 100 was $37, and $39 for any quantity. So I'm not seeing as worth while effort to save maybe $10 for average buyer and my bookkeeping.

Some business on the EE boards has them for somewhere in the mid to high thirty dollar range. These are supposed the be THE BEST mags out there.

If you check the HK site for LE dealers you will see a list to contact. Davidson's says they will have a quantity in about 30 days. The price is still around $40.
