Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Twenty round mags at Sportsmans Guide

I just bought some 20 round steel mags from the Sportsmans Guide Catalog and was wondering if anyone knows anything about these. They claim that the mags are made by the supplier to Bushmaster, Armalite, etc. I don't have a rifle yet, so right now they are just overpriced paperweights. Is that all they are destined to be even when I get a rifle or are they useable?
