Howdy,

Anyone know where to pick up some Sanstrom 27A dry lube for mag refinishing?

Thanks--RUT

Armalite sells a 13-oz. bottle of Sandstrom 27A dry-film lubricant for $26.00 plus a $15.00 HAZMAT charge (!!!).  I'm sure there are less expensive sources.

[Edit]  Here's a link to the Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) for this aerosol:

Ok, thanks for the info. However, I find I can get an aerosol can of Gunslik with only a $7.50 shipping charge. Perhaps it's not as "hazardous" as 27A? If I were to but a can of 27A direct from Sandstrom they have a $20.00 "hazardous" charge on top of the normal shipping, so I guess that's not an option! :-(

RUT, What was the price of the 27A itself direct from Sandstrom? Did they have Aerosols, pints, quarts, Gallons, etc....?

The price per can isn't all that bad--$13.25 ea., but the damned shipping is a killer!

P.S. They have no minimum order
