Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Mag spring question

Has anyone information on the apparently new style magazine springs which are made of chrome silicon wire which is supposed to have 1000 times more memory than the type of wire in current M16 magazines.   These springs have a zinc phosphate (Parkerizing) finish as well.
