When inspecting used USGI 30rd. mags, what is the "acceptable" length range and what is unacceptable and requires spring replacement? I thought that I had seen this spec somewhere, but I cannot seem to find it now. Thanks....

woodswalker,I know there is a spec, but after changing so many followers out, with 501pir new grn followers, there was NEW mag springs, that seemed junky, and acted that way after refit..I have used alot of the Tapco springs, and Wolff springs, the Tapco gives the Best return, feeds perfect, even in steel mags, have you seen some of the springs they put in those??!! I put new Grn followers, and new tapco springs in the FEW steel mags I have(EXCLUDING THE IMPERIAL MAGS),they now work great, plus I smoothed out the sharp edges on the feedlips with my trusty dremel, these mags i got a long time ago have actually become part of my Fodder parts..they work great..
