[ARCHIVED THREAD] - question and problem with a mag

I just bought on e-bay a 10rd(wink wink 30). I paid $13.50 for it. Including shipping. It is a clear mag. It has eagle and start on the side of it. On the bottom it has beta written on it. What are these worth? Are they any good? I have a problem the bolt hold open will not keep the bolt open. It dose not push up the bolt hold peace hard enough. How can I fix that? Where can I get more of these mags? I like them. any thoughts comments? thank you

They won't hold the bolt open.

They're not that great because:

they're fragile
they're shouldn't be left loaded
they're problematic for many
they can't be repaired (easily)
even at $13.50 they're not that good of a value

As for places to find, auction sites such as ebay, gunbroker & auctionarms may have listings.

When the feedlips crack and break off, you won't like them so much. It should take long, either.

I'm sure you work hard for your money, so spend it WISELY and buy only USGI mags. You may spend a bit more up front, but you'll be much happier in the long run.

I have 20+ usgi mags. I am just looking for new and unique things. I like the mag. and thats that
