So what does one have to do to keep one of these beasts running? How is the Company that makes these on customer service and spare parts?

They will definately run good. The key is to lightly dust the dummy round assembly with graphite every once in a while. All you need is a little. Too much is not good. I don't know if the factory will sell spare parts directly. I get my stuff from the Beta dealer here on the board: Ruben Mendiola he has a website with all kinds of info on Beta and keeps all spare parts in stock.I bought a couple extra feed towers just in case but haven't had to replace anything yet.
