I'm going to start adding 1000 rounds a month to my stockpile for awhile. I think I'm going to rotate XM193 and Wolf Gold. Maybe every third month I'll add something better. The Wolf will be mainly for practice. Any suggestions for the third month? Also, what do you think of my first two choices?

If you want to rotate some quality defense ammo I would suggest 62 gr Fusion. Your first two choices are great.

Green tips is on their radar.  Might as well stock pile.

For 3rd month, do a split between mk262 and a bonded SD round.....the m193 is great choice, contrary to what ppl are constantly bitching about, a 55gr m193 is not like getting shot by a BBgun.

thats just my opinion

Thanks for all the good suggestions. It might not be a bad idea to have some mk262, since I do plan on building a 20" rifle.

I would stockpile IMI M193 and Razor Core.

Buy what's cheap to shoot now.  Save quality.

Your first two choices are good. Look for Prvi M193 as well. Excellent ammo that you can often find for less $ than Wolf Gold.

Third choice; skip 855. As said above, bonded SP and Mk262. Buy a couple of boxes of several different mfg of each and see what your rifle likes. Then buy that load in some quantity.

Buy it in the proportion that you actually shoot it.  Don't go buying a bunch of match target ammo if you don't shoot that way already.  Then, decide on what items are allowable substitutes for you: maybe Federal M193 and IMI M193 will be interchangeable for your purposes.

For me?  Eight or ten cases of Russian Steel for every case of M193.  That's about the proportion I shoot, and any and all Russian Steel is fine by me; I don't see any difference with the way I shoot.

I am stockpiling Wolf Gold 55gr FMJ, 2K now and will buy more soon. I am running low on AE223BK. The AE223 is good stuff (1.6 MOA out of my guns), but the Wolf Gold is a slightly more accurate and cheaper. XM193 is good stuff, but I fine the other two I listed to be much more accurate. I still have 1K plus of XM193.

The SD ammos I have in the hundreds is: Hornady T2 TAP, MK262 and PPU 75gr match. If were to start a new big stockpile of SD ammo, I would go with 62gr Fusion or a TSX.

For varmints, I really like AE223 50gr tipped. It is a 1 MOA load out of my guns, even my 10.5 SBR. On sale at PSA.

I hand load my 3 gun match ammo.

Funny you mention it OP, that's exactly what I've been doing for some time. Wolf Gold and 193, with a smattering of F. Fusion.

Cheap and deep.  All of you - cheap and deep.

Federal, IMI, or any milspec manfuacturer of M193 is a good choice. It's cheap and has a proven history. I have zero experience with the Wolf Gold....although I need to get my hands on some. But according to the hive, your first two selections are solid.

AS far as something better/different, I would recommend some M855. It has its purpose....but don't get too much of it. But buy some (2 boxes of 150rds and a 420 rd can) as it will be worth more if/when it gets banned.....the mall ninjas and hipsters will want it....and will pay a pretty penny for it.

The folks above me gave the best ideas for other rounds.......

I've been buying the Prvi M193 battle packs when I have the chance.  I like the packaging for long term storage.

You cannot go wrong with IMI.....M193 or M855 if you like, but also stash some of the 77 grain Razor Core. For all practical purposes it's the identical twin of BH 262, and cheaper.
You will NEVER regret stocking up with IMI, and currently the prices are very decent
