I went to the range today and all of these rounds fired without any issues feeding, firing, ejecting, etc
...which proves the point that so long as they chamber well, they will work.
upon firing, they take the shape of the chamber, hence they are then "fire formed." (betcha post-firing you don't find any of these dents)
my "Rule" for firing dented brass ammo is two-fold:
1. does the dent impair chambering, if so, NO GO and,
2. if there is a sizeable dent on any of the "datum line," (which, of course, we all know is the shoulder area where the round headspaces itself in your chamber), then it is NO GO.
it's just me, but I won't fire ammo that's not seated properly on headspace contact points. headspace is important, why defeat its purpose by a huge dent there?
