Its expensive...

But not as expensive as the $23-24 a box 5.56 TAP everyone goes crazy over...

Can't wait to see the actual gel tests on this(and Molon's accuracy report...).

Jeez, I miss the BIG 240 rounds at the top but see the little 5ea 20RD boxes at the bottom

It's in the white boxes, that usually means it's rejected or overrun ammo. Wish they had less then 240 to try out. I emailed them & asked for lesser quantities.

That is almost a $1 a shot.  For less than that you can get match grade Black Hills 77 grain which is much more accurate and lethal.  You can get blue box Black Hills for $33/50 these days in 77 grain BTHP.

No thanks.

Not to mention that the individual I spoke with at usarmorment.com was one of the most insipid idiots I have ever had contact with...

Hi DocGKR,

I thought you were recommending this over the 77 SMKs for close in work on the other "M4" site. Did I read/remember that correctly?

Thanks,

I don't get it.  It was described in some other thread I read as being based on the LE223T3 TBBC bullet (could be bullshit, not really important), but it's OTM instead of SP.  And, it's described on the website as being lead core, but the cross section looks like solid copper construction.  Does anyone have solid tech data on this thing?

I think people are also interested in it's barrier penetration abilities, which the 77gr OTMs can be lacking in.

Not as expensive as 5.56 TAP, nor 6.8 SPC. Still pricey, but...

I purchased a bit of this from them for curiosities sake. They did not follow the very simple delivery wish I requested, and spelled my name wrong on the package. I think we encountered the same drooling knuckle-dragger.

It does indeed have lead in the forward half of the projectile, then solid copper in the back half. More info here:

If the ammunition a person is authorized to carry is limited by Hague restrictions, then Mk318 Mod0 is the best U.S. military GP 5.56 mm carbine ammo available for current issue.   If you are a civilian or LE, then the Hague restrictions do NOT apply and their are numerous outstanding options other than Mk318:  http://www.m4carbine.net/showthread.php?t=19881.

This company received negative feedback from a member here 6 months ago, or somewhere thereabouts, and their response was piss poor.

I bought from them, and it was a mixed-feeling experience. They made a mistake due to lack of attention, cancelled my order, but responded appropriately when their mistake was pointed out to them.

I received no response whatsoever when I queried them via E-mail.

I will not purchase from them again.

I really think they are simply overwhelmed with demand.  I've ordered from them several times in the past with no problems at all, but since they started carrying this ammo, the service has gone down hill.  Just my take on it.

Got my order today. I called to make sure they got my age verification info. The guy answering the phone was terse to say the least. Don`t know if I`ll buy from them in the future.

Cheaper Here:

5.56mm MK318 MOD 0

Edit: Just got my order in. At 74 cents it's not too bad considered the military pay 60 cents per round.

Never had a problem there myself. Maybe you just caught em' on a bad day. Been buying ammo there for several years. I called Federal and the white box is standard packaging just like the M855 now comes in a green box.

Are these rounds superior to TSX, fusion, gold dot or the other Psp rounds as barrier "blind "? I am, of course, not limited to Hague or Pentagon regulations.
