Found a shop with M855 in a white box today.  $12.99 for 20 rounds means only one box for experimentation to see how accurate my rifle is with the 62gr bullet.  Package is plain white box marked 5.56mm (62) FMJ M855 Penetrator Q3269.  Brass is head stamped WCC 09 with NATO cross, green tiped bullet.  Anyone ever try these loads and though I am feeling the price is a bit high, is it?  Thanks

WOW !  $25 a box?  I stopped at the Tackle Box on Lexington Park MD (dropping my truck off for repair of deer strike damage, yes my return trip from the range sunday sucked!)  Found them higher in price than I am use to on firearms and only a few cents higher on ammo (normally go to another gun shop closer to home which has decent prices on ammo and has primers in stock).  I had not seen this ammo ant where else before except in 1K round qty and for 12.99 figured it was worth testing a box.

Sounds like winchestor ammo, not bad stuff.  $12.99 is what it is here.  You can get the Partizan stuff cheaper (if you can find it somewhere), I've never had any issues out of it

Thanks!  Glad the price between MD and VA is the same for a change.

You'd have to flip a coin for which is better... WCC M-855 or LC M-855.

I paid $270 for 1k a couple years back, it's Winchesters M855 rnd. About 50% of the rnds had small dings but the 400 rnds I've fired so far all went bang and had fairly good accuracy. I got the feeling they were rejected from ammo destined for the U.S. armed forces much like LC's PD ammo but in much better shape.
