Apologies if this topic has been recycled many times, but I didn't find anything appropriate with the search function that I can access.

Re: Wolf 7.62x39mm ammo

Q1: Other the 124gr vs. 122gr, what are the differences (if any) between the "Military Classic" and the "Poly Performance" (in the black box)?

Q2: If a primary reason for using an AK is for better penetration through intermediate barriers than an AR in 5.56x45mm, does it matter whether you use the FMJ or the hollow point?

Q3: Are the terminal ballistics for either (FMJ vs. the hollow point) significantly better?

Q3 - Terminal ballistics of Wolf Military Classic Hollowpoints are signficantly better as per testing by others. This is the only commonly available 7.62x39 hollowpoint known to fragment within common distances. Zhukov can give you a link about this.

Downside is the primers and projectiles do not seem to be consistenly sealed in the new polymer coated Wolf Military Classic.

Thanks for the response.  How does the hollow point do in terms of penetrating things like glass, car doors, and similar barriers?  (as compared to the FMJ)
