It of course is a great deal now but I bet it seemed kind of crazy at the time.
Got to give BH big bonus points for holding the agreed price on a backorder. This is something to keep in mind with future orders. |

Nice. I remember feeling good about a back order "deal" of 7.62x39. The huge shortage awhile back drove prices up to what they are currently but I needed some so I picked up a case for $160 and then 2 days later my backorder shipped and I got 2 more cases for $100 each.

This is the most i have ever paid for ammo. The last ammo i bought was Rem UMC for $173/1000 delivered. Horn steel case 75Gn OTM for $115/500 delivered Wolf 55Gn JHP for $179/1440 delivered. Before that i was buying 2700rnd tubs of SA M1A3 for .13 cents a round delivered. I buy ammo when i find it cheap so i dont have to pay the insane $400/1000 delivered prices. I paid, more than i wanted to, for the Black hills because I have less than 5,000 rounds of SA M1A3 left.

God Bless You! It's amazing how perceptions change with time. I remember thinking Ammoman's $199 delivered for 1K of XM193 was outrageous. If you looked you could obviously find it cheaper but I failed to buy even when found at lower prices. I just sat there thinking, "Maybe next week...month....year." I snoozed, I losed.
