They have it for $121.00 for 500 rounds. This is about the best ammo deal I've seen lately.

You can order Wolf 55gr from Widener's for $165+shipping, per 1000.  You'll come in well under $200 for a case.  A case of the Monarch is $242 a case.

Let me guess.  It's the steel cased stuff too right?

If you want to spend $242 for a case of Wolf-equivalent steel-cased ammo, more power to you.

ETA:  It functions fine in my Bushy and Olympic ARs.  Dirty like Wolf, with minute of bad-guy accuracy.

It's always worked for me. Granted, I use it as practice/blasting ammo. I also have a quantity of M193, which now goes for $400+ for 1000

Wideners hasn't had Wolf for $165/K for quite some time. Best price is currently Sportsman's Guide at $190/K if you are a member if the buyers club and use a coupon.

You haven't checked their availability on this in a while have you?????   My guess would be that when they get the wolf back in stock, they will update their prices.

I've never had a problem with the lacquer on Monarch.  It's always functioned fine in my rifle, it doesn't smell awful the way Wolf is supposed to, and it's got decent accuracy.  I'd love to be able to plop down $242 and get 1k of ANY reasonable ammo right now.  'Course my local Academy probably won't have any on hand...

the new steel cased wolf has a polymer coating on it and it does not get jammed up in the gun.  You could get it for a short time at Midway for 199.00 but they ran out and are now back up to  220.00 or something like that when they actually get some in.  RG

Barnaul is using a polymer coating now?  We've all heard about Wolf, but this is the first I've heard of Barnaul doing it.
