I picked up 500 rds of 55 gr fmj a-merc a couple weeks ago, and won't be running any more thru my ar.  So far 5 bullets have fallen out of the case, numerous stuck cases in my chamber, one blown primer that blew the floorplate out of a mag.     The case heads are showing signs of high pressure.
 Buyer beware

So what you are saying is that you had the typical shooting experience with Amerc.
Amerc is total crap, period.

Amerc SUCKS

The ammo reviews are a very helpful and reliable resource when considering ammo selection.

Yeah, I've made the same mistake of buying 500 rounds of Amerc. Luckily I was able to take it back to the place that I bought it from and they refunded my money. It was the first time the gun store bought that ammo, I would safely say that it was also the last. I hade primers falling out, brass breaking and if you want a good laugh, take a micrometer to them! Stay far away from that POS ammo!

Out of spec ammo is dangerous!
How does a company who knowingly and willingly continues to mass produce a serioulsy dangerous product and who obviously doesn't care who they hurt and mame stay in bussiness?

HOW DOES AMERC STAY IN BUSSINESS????????

Many reloaders won't even reload their brass. I bought some once fired pistol brass last week and specifically asked if there was any AMERC mixed in. Girl said they scraped any they found. So far none in the batch I got.

I've never had any experience with Amerc ammo, and I intend on keeping it that way.

I can't believe that I seem to be the only one that hasn't had a problem with this stuff yet.  My Ar pistol loves this stuff and I wonder if there are several types that they produce, or if the shorter barrel length prevents such issues.  Mine came in a box that had a picture of empty shells all over it.  It said .223 Amerc 55 grain FMJ C3 on the box, but the product in the box was stamped "06" 5.56 and is definately on the hotter side.  I just purchased a chrono and am going to compare it with other ammo.  I haven't had any issues with this stuff yet, after 300 rnds of 1000, but the copper coated bullets definately aren't the most accurate.  I've only had split neck cases and other issues with wolf in the past, but I've never experienced any type of blown primer or stuck cases.  I almost wish I'd researched this before I made the purchase, but this ammo was priced right and "fingers crossed and knock on wood" I hope I don't have the same issues as everyone else.  I'll keep it out of other AR's just to be safe.

I bought 250 rounds of 30 Carbine just to harvest the brass before finding that it's crap too.  I have shot about 50 rounds and usually have one dud per mag.  Just looking at the rounds had me sceptical of its quality (I noticed the plated bullet because the case is crimped into it ).  As cheap as the ammo was it was just too much hassle to send it back.

Because "its brass" and they've fallen for the Wolf-hate?

Because 99% of their customers only use the internet for porn?
