Has anyone shot any of the M855 ammunition made by CCI?  It is available in 200 rd SAW packs loaded 4 in 1 with tracers.

I was wondering how the quality of CCI's M855 stood against Winchester and LC.

CCI is part of ATK who runs Lake City. It is the same ammo that is used by the military.

As stated CCI is owned by ATK who operates lake City.  I have not encountered any 5.56 marked CCI, but I would be very confident in it.

I'd be interested in finding out who is selling it...  Purely for scientific and evaluation purposes, of course.

First Speer and CCI merged. Then Federal bought them both. Then ATK bought them all.

Yes, a box would be all I'd need to just for function testing so feel free to give up a source as I wouldn't try to clean them out.

The last LE Distributor that I ran across wanted 125.00 per 200 round mag.

Somehow I missed the description in which it lists this as being Lake City 05 ammunition.  I didn't buy it when it first was available a few months ago, as it was overpriced at that time.  Now, not so much!

They also have the loose pack XM855.  I bought some of this last year, paid $250/1K FOR 06 headstamped.  Good stuff.  I would be buying more of this, except that they are asking $429 for 1K!

It won't be long before attending a training class will mean spending more for the amunition to attend the class than what you paid for the rifle!

Would there be much interest in the M856 tracer rounds out there, say at .50 per round?  I would have NO use for tracer amunition.

It looks like this place only sells to LEOs.
