I recently bought a bunch of Black Hills red box 55 gr. FMJ. How does it compare to M193 or the other available .223?

I just started shooting BH BB and RB 55gr FMJ this year and as far as accuracy I must say the differance is nothing short of amazing. At 100 yds. from a rest with a scoped RRA NM 20" the BH 55gr FMJ will have nearly all the holes touching where budget type 55gr. FMJ is all over a 5 inch target.
See...

I have some BH BB 69gr. SMK I'll try next time out.

The short story is, the BH isn't as hot as M193 (more comparable to American Eagle in regards to velocity), but it's far more accurate than M193 and most of the other commercial loads.

I am a big fan of Black Hills ammo.

BH 55 gr FMJ ammunition produces 5 shot groups in the .4 to .5 MOA range in my 20" varmint AR.  It's good stuff.
