Needing some ammo for the AR. I have a new RRA 1/9 16" barrel, and a Armalite with a 1/7.

Is a 62 grain round ok for both?

Who has ammo in stock?

THanks..

You're all set to go.
55 grain is also okay for both.
The heavier you go, the faster twist you will need.

Most folks has ammo in stock and both 55grn and 62 grain will or should shoot fine in both guns,Now the question is how much you willing to pay for ammo?

Hey "Willobend"

Ammo is kind of like gasoline. When people ask me if it is it too expensive. My answer is "I JUST HOPE THEY KEEP MAKIN' IT"!!

Well, since he asked about a 1/9 and 1/7, what are you talking about?

The SS109 is a longer bullet due to the steel insert.  Steel is less dense than lead, which is why this bullet is longer.  Longer bullets need a faster twist, so it's probably not going to work as well in a 1/12 as it will in a 1/9 or faster.

I would say 69 easily but some barrels can go higher/longer.  I really see no point in having anything other than a 1/7.
