I am purchasing a RRA NM Lower & WOA CMP Upper to start shooting service rifle competition.  This is my first service rifle, and it will be the first rifle that I have ever used in competition.  I got bitten by the service rifle bug when I attended SAFS in Camp Perry.
By the time I get them both, the service rifle season will be all but over.
My plans are to do alot of dryfire practice this winter, and start shooting the CMP matches at the Dorr range in the spring.
The Dorr range shoots 100 & 200 meter reduced competition once a month, and in between I'll practice at the local 100 meter range.
Having said all that, I have never done any reloading, and for my first year of service rifle competition I plan to shoot manufactured/remanufactured ammunition.
I would appreciated any advice you folks could offer on what kind of manufactured/remanufactured ammo to buy and where to buy it.
Thank you for your time and advice.
Tim

Any of the heavier match loads from either Black hills or HSM will due you just fine.
Check the HSM specials page for some good prices.

Try the Sierra 69 or Hornady 75 loads from Black Hills.  The 69's will be plenty if you're shooting reduced course out to 200 yards.  I was using the 75's (from a different source) across the course for a couple years and they were doing just fine at 600.

I was using the same 75's across the course. Too bad they are NLA.

I've tested every .223 load Black Hills makes at 200 yards. I couldn't find any practical difference in group size, they all shot very very well. I would go with whatever BH .223 you can get at the lowest price.
