Have you guys ever heard of Pat's Reloading? I was cruising his site and came across this.

223 Remington:

223, 62 grain SS-109 Israeli,  loose ammo, minor dings 129m.

Wow I think, great deal so I e-mail to ask about it and he tells me he has it but I need to double the price if I want some. LOL. Funny guy. Now I know "If it sounds too good" blah blah blah, but I figure even with Hazmat and shipping if it is 180.00 I will buy but to double it? Funny. That is all.

The wording in bold is what I figured to be fair "if" it cost that much. 129.00 + 59.00 to west coast = 180.00. He gave me a price of 26.75 per 100 initially then when I e-mailed him he told me to double the price on the site. I cut and pasted his ad in my e-mail to him and his website was just updated so it is not a "not updated issue"

This is to hopefully clarify for those so quick to reply rudely.

Look it is easy. A website advertised Israeli .223 at 129.00 a 1K. I e-mailed the owner to inquire about buying some. He said " I have some but it will cost you double my advertised price" I started this thread because it sounds like shady business tactics such as Eric uses. Not really a need to translate anything into English. Just another place to stay away from. That is all.

I've dealt with Patsreloading for a few years now but nothing recently.

I've always had great luck with him/them, everything came as expected quickly.

Great prices last I checked, I've purchased everything from tumbling media to primers, bullets, brass, powder and a little of everything else.

I'll go check them out again.

My calculator says $258.

That is probably what it does cost, but going off of the poster's $180/500 rds figure.  In all seriousness, when did the hazmat fee start getting tacked on shipping ammo?  I just order some misc ammo from Midway and was not charged extra.

I am afraid to turn on the computer's speakers whenever I read a thread with mimikamimi posting.  I fear waking up the next morning in a strange place, wearing strange looking clothes with 1000's of other people dressed the same.

Why is he advertising it at one price but doubling the cost upon order? Sounds pretty stupid to me.

Not sure I ever saw a $180 per 500 rounds number - let alone how $129 doubled into $360. Must be the new math Pat's reloading is reputed to be using.

I do not know whats up with the attitude but I do not know if many know of this guy and a link would help.  Not everyone is there looking over you to know what is going on.  But I do understand that if you want the ammo then double the price.  Maybe the site is not up to date and the price has gone up?

It takes a lot of time to update a retail site!  Try it once!

Funny, I just hung up with Brian.  After they get back from The Creek, they're shipping me 2k of the SS109 for a total of $288 shipped.  It will ship Tuesday.

Nothing but good attitude and service, just like every other time I've ordered from them.

English is nice and we use it a lot around here.  You might try it sometime.  When people understand you it's easier to talk to you about whatever you want to talk about!!

It's pretty cool!!

I have delt with Pat's reloading on several occasions buying reloading components.  His pulled xm193 bullets are first rate and only $29/1000.  I have nothing but positive experiences.

I delete my sent e-mails unless it is an EE deal. I cut and pasted his advertised price and inquired about the ammo advertised.

His first e-mail to me. If you have trouble with my posts, good luck.

26.75 per 100 to you shipping, its turn in ammo, minor dings, we get it cleaned and ship it loose, we didn't even have to flip the tips on this stuff, thanks Pat, we won't have much left after Knob Creek, leaving a small batch at building for gun show week after next, thanks Pat, I will shoot it in my full autos what else can I say
....................................................................................................................................................
His second e-mail to me after questioning his first reply.

just double the price, thanks Pat

Can't speak to shipping charges since I buy locally from him at the shows - but as far as the ammo goes, you really have to check it thoroughly. Found these 4 gems in the last thousand I bought...
