Federal 62gr 223 ?

Anyone have any info on Federal red box 62grain 223, #AE223N? Is it as effective as M855? Good for SHTF?

I guess I have to clarify my question...... How does AE223 compare to M855? (and yes I know it isnt 5.56.)

That question makes no sense. First of all, did you read the Ammo FAQ tacked to the top of the page?

In short - M855 s a 62gr bullet with a steel penetrator loaded to about 3050fps out of a 20" rifle. AE is a 55gr gr "standard" bullet, loaded to lower velocities.

Well, change that to 62 and it still holds valid.
