Went to the gun show last night(Friday eve thru Sunday afternoon) and a dealer had Wolf cans of , I believe, 600 rounds for $135. Hope he has to haul all of that stuff back over the mountain!!

There is alot of people in a panic over the shortage of 7.62x39.
If you have enough to get by until this summer prices should come back down. |

Hey guys,,new guy here,,but I have had 2000 rds on backorder from www.ammunitionstore.com for a few weeks now,,hopefully it will be in soon,,,but if you order now and put it on Backorder,they will still honor the $109 per 1000 rds,,plus shipping ! I figure waiting a month for it is worth the price ! Hope this helps !!

How is that "price gouging?" He's charging more for a product that is or is percieved to be more scarce by the market. That's econ 101. The solution is to not buy it from him if you think it's overpriced.

Attention: Good News from Wolf. They are producing at full capacity and the Backorders are being filled ASAP. Its true that the old price of $100 per 1000 rounds is gone for good due to price increases on materials and transportatiion but if your can wait a little while the prices should settle down over the next three months or so. By Mid-Summer supply should be back to normal for the most part.

So what caused the "Shortage". Heard it was either due to Venezuela or possibly Irag for the IP/ICDC or both.

I have a 3k - 4k of wolf I will pay that right now. I and going to a shoot and the cheap suff is $10 box where I live. If the IRan deal goes down the cheap ammo will not be back for a while. If I find it I will buy it.

It's only gouging if someone else has it and you want it. If you have it and someone else wants it, it's business at a high profit margin.

At the Washington Arms Collectors show in Puyallup this weekend, one of the ammo vendors said he was sold out of 7.62x39 very quickly Saturday, none left by Saturday afternoon. I have no doubt he could have increased his profit margin and the people would have no complaints, as long as they could find some.

Guess I was taking a line from the people complaning about the $5 gas after Katrina. Just market forces at work, right? He sold out of all the Wolf he had at $220/1000. Guess I should have taken some of my Cheetah stuff in and priced it at $300/1000 and seen if I could have sold it!
