I just picked up some cheapo boxes of old 5.56 and noticed some of the brass cases are dented.  Most are small dents, nothing large enough to bend the case or deform it majorly. Is this safe to fire or is it trash?

Most dents are fine.  The only time it will be an issue is if the case is severely deformed so as to weaken the case, or if dented in the neck or shoulder (chambering issues possible)

Once you fire it, the dents pop right out due to the pressure of the round.

Alright. Thanks guys. I figured the dents would be pressed out during firing.  I just didn't know if this presented a safety issue.
