I'd be curious to know. M193 type speeds or .223 commercial velocities?

I tested it two weeks ago: The average was 3,048 fps out of a 20" Colt at 25 feet in mid 70s and partly sunny.

3.048 fps?

I can throw a bullet faster than that!

Okay, that doesn't sound like M193 type velocities then. Should be higher.  Still okay for regular shooting though.

It isn't supposed to my M193 velocity.  It is for .223 chamber specs not 5.56mm

If you want M193 velocity get  Winchester Q3131

Value packs are great for regular shooting.

Yeah... I think I just might be able to throw a kitchen sink faster than that too

thanks,
Ron

Oh, yeah? Let's see ya.

Bastages! 3,048 fps

ETA: I just checked my notes and the average was 3,013 fps, not 3,048.

WWB Valuepacks are USA223R1VP. They are loaded to SAAMI 223 spec and not 5.56 spec.

Q3131, Q3131A and XM193 are new production (if you can find it) ammo loaded to 5.56 spec. Walmart does not sell any of these loads.

Speed isn't everything. That ammo is as accurate as any ammo I have shot so far.
Here is a 5 shot group on the left that was shot with it and another with the Winchester USA on the right which isn't even in the same league.
