Those are getting harder and harder to find. What's mostly available these days are 200rd linked in ammo can. I used to see them in store for $39.99 per battle pack. Sadly, can't find them anymore, not even from online vendor.

Well, I know where to get some sealed Battle Pack stuff BUT they want 49.95 per pack. However I did just pay $40 for 200 rounds of Aussie but that was bandoed and strippered.

If you are looking for blast ammo, SA, Aussie are all pretty good. I picked up some FN while Sportsman's Guide still have those and they work pretty good as well. Portugal stuff have better accuracy compares to the SA and Aussie from my test result, but don't really carry that extra premium if you ask me. They are more expensive because you can't easily find them, not because they are that much better.

I have lots of SA .308 stashed away, some Aussie and a bit of Port. I have not shot any port yet tho and got what I have with a M1A I Bought recently. That was crated stuff.

Aussie, SA and FN all have copper jacket, Port stuff is bi-metal, so it will stick to a magnet. If you have some, they are fine and will shoot better then SA and Aussie in accuracy department. I still have two un-open battle pack, plus 5 cans of FN stash away. Don't shoot my M1A enough though because it a lot more fun blasting wolf out of my AR

So sad. 2 years ago I was getting cases of Port delivered for $139 from AIM.

Yeah, the good old days... Lesson learned: When you see a good deal, pick up a bunch while you can. Remember how fast the FN surplus Sportsman's Guide was selling? I'd say all their inventory was gone in about two weeks.

I remember the time when I bought 3 of 4 Hirtenberger Battlepacks at a gun show.  I did not have enough money at a time to get the forth.  Now, if I could do it over again, I’d buy not only the forth battlepack he had on stock then, I’d buy him out the previous time we met.

I got 13 battle packs of Portuges at home.  When Galyans was purchased by Dick's I was abble to get their remaining stock for $31  a pack.  I had been getting it every few weeks for their $39.99 price but once the inventory sell off was anounced I got the rest.

Since I only have 1 rifle in that caliber, a bolt action Spanish M1926 Mauser, it's going to take a long time to shoot it all off.  I may opt for one of those Saiga's in 308.  I have heard nothing but good about them.
