Is the Winchester Q3131 bette than the Federal M193??
If all the Federal is second quality? Is the Winchester Q3131 that we get first quality? Meeting all the specks? right neck and primer sealent, right velocity, etc. Would that make the Winchester a better value? Thanks, Badredfish  |

Both are good
I like Q3131 just because! and Ive shot it almost 20 years or so 83/84 my first AR and mini 14 but I do have some XM193 around |

Thanks for all of the replys.
I have read the tacked ammo threads - that is where I learned that all of the Federal M193 being sold to us civies is second "tier" ammo. What I wanted to confrim and ask is that the Winchester Q3131 that we can buy is the first quality meeting all of the m193 specks - velocity, neck sealent etc. Thanks, Badredfish

Don't have a preference for the ammo, they're both great - but Lake City brass is the best, period. It resizes, trims, chamfers, decrimps, decaps, primes better than Winchester mil brass. Easiest and best cases to deal with from a handloading perspective.
