How are these rounds comparerd to the Winchester Ranger Black Talon SXT that are the new version of the black talon rounsd. And what would be the legal ramifications of using them in my CC weapon? Just wanted to know if it would be a legal no no or not.

So would you recommend the new Ranger SXT rounds or not? And how about the legality issue with using them in your CC weapon?

Stick to Ranger T's.  VA Arms Co. carries the real deal, not the SXT stuff.  Ranger T's have better terminal performance and more reliable expansion.  As for legal ramifications, if it's a justifiable shoot, it doesn't matter what round you have.  MJD

If the box is black and said "Winchester Supreme", stay away from it. You are almost better off using FMJ. If you can get the Ranger-T (Yellow box that usually mark LE only), great. If you have a hard time finding it, get Speer Gold Dot instead.

The Ranger T's are marked "Law Enforcement Ammunition".  It doesn't say LE only, but very few places sell it.  There are 2 types of Rangers also.  If it says RA45SXT or RA9SXT, etc. avoid it.  What you want is RA45T or RA9T, etc.  MJD

In fact, they're such garbage that they still don't publish standardized jell tests for them.
