-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ordered 1k rounds of Q3131A from CTD, got the confirmation and waited for it to ship. When it shipped my CC was billed 233.49. When I checked UPS tracking it said the packace weighed in at under three lbs. I called CTD and was told they shipped me 5 boxes and could not fill the order for remaining 45 boxs. They said they would credit my card for the balance and not charge shipping. OK, but what about the $3 ammo charge. They would not take it off. I told them that if they would have placed this on back order that would be fine but I would never buy five boxes of ammo and pay a $3 ammo charge. I was polite but that was that. This was their policy. No refund. Just thought I would post this because It's quite insane to send 1/10th of a order and expect the customer to be happy and pay the full ammo charge. I am waiting on a 2k backorder from Wholesale Hunter and don't mind at all. I understand they honor their backorder prices. BTW, the five boxes Cheaper Than Dirt sent me was Q3131 and not the Q3131A I ordered. Needless to say I am done with CTD. GOOD LUCK |

When did you order? It states a $3.00 handling charge no matter how many you order. They charge the $3.00 ammo charge wheter you buy one box or 10000. I’ve never had a problem with them and I’ve order allot of stuff from them.

OK, the quantity is back up to 999, so they must have gotten a large shipment in.
If it isn't Q3131A then I am never buying from them again. As soon as someone gets theirs, let us know what it is. |

I should have mine in a few days. If it is not Q3131A I will send it back on their dime. Like my previous post I have never had a problem with them before. Some have been sarcastic about the price, but they have failed to let me know where they are getting it cheaper (Q3131A not Q3131)… I thought so!  You can’t even find XM193 cheaper.

Its in the first line of my post. 1k rounds. Would you buy one 20 round box from them and pay a $3. ammo charge. I think not. Don't mind paying it on the full order but when you order 50 boxes and they send you five and say that's all we got no backorder now that's wrong. I wouldn't have minded if the said they are all out and they couldn't fill my order that's reasonable. There not the only ones with ammo. I ordered 50 boxes and the Ammo Nazi at CTD said Only 5 for you. I usually buy my ammo in very large quantities but I was afaird of getting Q3131 insted of the advertised Q3131A so I only bought 1K to check. If it had been Q3131A I would have put in another order for 5k. Now that I think about it I am glad they sent me only five boxes since it was Q3131. I still have 2k on backorder from Wholesale Hunter with a delivered price of $434 so CTD is no bargain. As a matter of fact I was very disipointed with priceing on the four pocket repack kit with bando strippers & cardboards they sell for $9.97. Plus their stripper clips are $9.97 per 100. The reason I say this is I put in a order for something unrelated and bought one repack kit to check it out. Earlier in the day I put in a fairly large order with Old Sarge's for 1000 strippers for $55 and 5 dealer dozen four pocket bando repack kits @ $30. per dozen. Thats $2.50 per repack kit. When the orders came in I couldn't believe that they were identical. Old Sarge's $2.50 kit was the exacty the same as the $9.97 kit CTD sold me. Packaging and everything was the same. To be fair, shipping at Old Sarge's cost me a little more but there was still a hugh gap in price. I hope you guys get the Q3131A you ordered. Let us all know if you get the product you paid for. CTD sucks, I traded with them for more than a decade, had "YY" status which got me special discounts, but unfortunately that stopped a few years back....... so I no longer get the discount my patronage of their business during their start-up and lean years warranted.
Now I stop by the "original" CTD store off the loop in Ft. Worth, once a year on my way to NM for vacation ever summer and buy direct, where they "still" give me the discount I earned by spending so much money with them and avoid all the HAZ-MAT and ammo shipping fees of ordering online. Didn't seem to bother the online folks at all to lose a customer who ordered thousands of dollars worth of stuff and ammo a year, so fuck 'em. Mike |

I just got my 2 cases from KY and it is Q3131A and it was a grand total of 428 to my door in just 3 days. I really cannot complain about anyhting. This is what I would call a perfect transaction.

Order 2 cases and shipping is 10-20 bucks cheaper on the second box. The more you buy the cost per pound goes down. 225 is still better than what you will probably find locally. I bet if you ask them to ship 2 cses you will get nearly the same price I got. (I feel I got a fair price) |

I called them early this afternoon and voiced my concern over the accuracy of their description of Q3131A. I asked if they would physically check the product boxes and let me know if it was Q3131A or not. I was told they did not have the time as they were very busy today. I could tell that was BS and they have probably been getting calls on this subject. Even if they take it back who wants to go through that hassle.

BEST - Walmart, winchester white box Next Best - XM-193 Least - Q3131a. Next time you go to the range, shoot em, you'll see. The cheapest produces the tightest group. Your mileage may vary. All based on 50 yards. 14.5" barrel and 16". 1 in 9 twist. Multiple targets, tested and retested. |

I was told by CTDs' customer support to just refuse the package when it comes and I will be refunded my money in full including shippin- handeling and the $3 ammo handeling fee.. No big deal. Will order from someone else. Life is good!

Sorry to hear about the problems - I have had a few damaged in shipping problems with CTD but they always took care of it and I got all my money back, I can complain about anything except how they pack heavy and light items together. I recommend when you order you get a full case of the ammo as it comes i a seperate box - don't order a few boxes of ammo and something like a shovel unless you like to repack your ammo.

I called to cancel my order but it had already shipped from TX. They either told me to refuse the delivery, that is if I am home to refuse it, which I am never home. It will most likely be delivered.
I told them the reason why I was canceling my order was because at the time I ordered it was falsely advertised and they changed it a day or two after. They said that if it was delivered to call them and they would have to hand it over to a product specialist and then we can work on returning it if that was the case. Put a note on your front door asking Fed-ex not to leave it, and that you are refusing the shippment. They will put it back on the truck and send it back to them. |

Well the ammo came Fed-Ex this moring and I told the driver it was refusing the order and I signed refusing it and it is on it's way back to CTD. I will order from someone else. Now I need to decide on whether I wan to order XM193 or the Q3131A

I was wondering the same thing.Like did I miss something? I have 2 cases of 3131 and 2 cases of 3131a.I like them both.I don't recall there being a problem with the q3131 that would warrant refusing to buy this ammo.Or is it just because not as advertised. I think you guys are returning good ammo IMO. |

It's probably not that big of a deal to some, but if I had my preference I had rather have the Q3131A. From what I have read it is more to XM193 mil spec. Plus I could have purchased the Q3131 from a cheaper source. I also don’t like being sold something that I didn’t order. If I ask for Q3131A and they send me Q3131 I send it back. That’s what is great about this country. We have a choice. Ain’t it wonderful!
