I posted this over in AR discussions but no one answered so maybe it belongs in the Ammo forum. My question is on those chamber bore laser sights that Cabelas sells. If a .223 caliber one is used in a 5.56 chamber barrel 1. will it work and 2. will there be any adverse affects as far as sighting in? Again sorry for the double forum post and any info will be appreciated.

There is no difference in the size of the CASE between 5.56 and .223*, so the laser bore sight will work fine.
*There is a difference in the throat/leade area of the chamber, and in the pressures the two rounds are loaded to. Neither is relevant here. -Troy |
