I just got back from our local gun show and picked up 5 boxes of Lake City M193.  I get home and open a few boxes to find that it's loaded into once fired brass with dents and dings everywhere.  Is this typical of this ammo?  What's ya'll's opinion?  These boxes were to be the start of my shtf supply but I'm not sure if I would go into combat with this stuff.

Whats the headstamp?

A lot of LC XM193 looks ugly, as it isn't polished like commercial ammo.

Post some pics if you can.

The top 1/3 of the brass is blackened.

I'll post some pics tomorrow.  The headstamp reads, "L C 05".  It's packaged in the Federal brown cardboard boxes.
