I've ordered many rounds of XM193 over the past few years and have always wondered what the Lot #'s actually mean. Could someone enlighten me? Higher numbers equal latest production or what?

Lot numbers can tell you when the ammo was made, with lot of powder.  It also helps to identify the ammo in case there is a problem with some later on.

Basically, if the ammo is all one lot, it was made at about the same time with the same components, normally on the same machine.
