Quick questions

Is the 55gr BH Blue Box ammo cannelured to promote fragmentation (a la Q3131A or XM193)?  My instincts tell me NO.

Thanks.

Their 55 gr FMJ does have a cannelure.  It is loaded to .223 pressure, has no sealant, and the primer is not crimped in.  We use it as practice ammo, and it is pretty decent.

That's what my intended use would be....range ammo.  I thought it's specs were as you mentioned.  It's just that I've been reading, on this board lately, of "stockpiling" BH 55gr BB for SHTF.  That got me to thinking that maybe the specs had changed.  Given it's specs, it's certainly NOT SHTF I would add to my Q3131A and XM193 stash.

Thanks for the info.

No problem.  Happy to help (at my department's expense).
