Is it possible to find the M856 tracer rounds or are the only ones available the 55 gr. talon tracers? If those are the only ones available, if fired with the 62 gr. out of a 1:7 barrel how much difference in shot placement? Thanks for any info.

Yes, factory boxed M856 is still out there, they pop up occassionally, though the typical date I have seen is '89 (on the LC I have, and do not recaal what the WCC is), expect to pay a premium... I do have some of the TALON red tip, they burn, but they are vintage cases and bullet, and loaded a bit slower than MIL-spec.

Cheaper to load your own with pulled bullets

yes that is probbably what i will do. I got a line on some m 856 bullets. I think the WCC is winchester ammo?
