I sent them an email asking what lot # this stuff is and what it costs to ship a case.  Will post here if/when I get an answer.

I called and it was $20 shipping to Texas for 1 case. 1000 rounds

i am thinking of loading up on this ammo but wanted to know other than being made in different factories is there any other differences between Q3131 and Q3131A? is one more desirable than the other?

someone just put up the lot numbers that were questionalble for the Q3131, see if you can find it, If I stumble across it I'll post it here.

Talked to the rep at KY Imports this morning.  They have over 100 cases (1000/case) of Winchester Q3131, headstamp of the case he checked was 94, for $169.99 + actual shipping cost from Kentucky.  He did not guarantee all were of the 1994 production lots.  No internet orders - telephone only.

From the Maryland AR15 Shooters Site:

". . .  The boxes with product number Q3131 are made in America and conform to the U.S. Military's M193 specification (55gr load). However there have been problems with some lots, mostly made in 1999. . . These potentially 'bad' lots have been identified as: PD50, PD90, PF40, PC22, PG62, PF52, PF11, PL31, & PN02. These lots only relate to the U.S. produced Q3131."

Doesn't that just figure. I just scored 700 rds of Q3131A from a local store that is getting out of the gun business. 17.4 cents a rd, tax included.

by the time you add shipping you still got it cheaper.
