Hirtenberger, Port, Aussie considered good, and there are many others, but few would argue that the three I named are good surplus. It might be easier to find South African right now than any of the three, I have no experiance with the SA, so I can't say, but some seem to like it fine.

I like using Aussie, South African, Port, FN, Chiliean and Isreali .308
Hirtenberger is good if you can find it Avoid the Indian .308 no matter what the headstamp is |

+1 No Indian PORT, HIRT, SA, AUSSIE and MAL have all performed well. CAVIM was a little dirty but worked. |
