Their Ranger handgun ammo seems to be the s**t, but I don't see anyone talking about their Ranger .223 stuff.  I had a line on a good deal for some 55gr sp Ranger and was just wondering if anyone else was using it.

My dept. issues Ranger 69gr HPBT for patrol, but due to my position on SWAT, I use what the team uses...Black Hills 60gr SP.

If you are using you're own money to buy ammo for self defence, then go with what has been proven with actual case studies, M193, M855, and Mk 262 spec secconds from GP, etc.  I like Federal's web site with the gel pics and all, especially since they go the extra mile and contaminate the gel pics with dye on purpose so we cannot see that most of that gel pic is temporary wound channel, and little if no fragmentation.
