Back in August I had some which must have had undersized bullets, because I was getting about One Minute of Barn accuracy from them in my DPMS 1x9.
A guy a few points away had left some old golfballs in the dirt behind the targets and I could hardly touch any of them at 100 yds with the Wolf 55 and a 3-9x40 scope. I switched to Win 62 and commenced to hit them about 4 times out of 5. 2 to 3 MOA was about right for the Wolf. |

Wolf ammo is well known for being simply plinking ammo.
the 55gr and the 62gr come out of the barrel at aprox the same speeds. From what I've been told Wolf 62gr is more accurate than Wolf 55gr, in addition to being more accurate Wolf 62gr is also more reliable in various firearms than wolf 55gr. |

2 to 3 moa with Wolf 55gr. is my experience too using my super accurate varmit AR. Works exceptionally well in all my AR's but I just use it for 3 gun matches and plinking.

TA01NSN ACOG /w 14.5" Bushie M4 Govt Profile @ 100 yards.
No wind. Barrel fully broken in. Some of the closer wolf was shot by me and a couple other's by my girlfriend. It'll give you a general idea of the difference in quality. Few warmup shots with XM193, then moved to wolf 55gr for the rest of the day. This was just a portion of the target that showed the difference pretty easily. POA was the B.  I've found it holds Minute of Head @ 100 yards

I have a Bushmaster 24" 1/9 barrel made of 4150 steel and hard chrome-lined (w/ A2 flashhider, bayo lug).
I haven't been able to shoot sub-MOA with XM193 at 100 yd or 50 yd. At 25 yd, I shoot about 2 MOA (1/2" groups) using Lake City XM193 Lot 075. At 100yd, I shoot about 3-4"+ w/ XM193, and Wolf 55gr HPBT wasn't any better or worse. Is there something wrong with my rifle? I know it's not as accurate as a match-barrel (SS), but it shouldn't be that much worse? |

Wolf 55gr is usually about 3-5 inches at 100 yards for me. I don't do much shooting at paper and I can hit milk jugs filled with water pretty consistantly out to 200 yards. Good enough for me.

2.5" or same as my AK74s, in an AR that gets moa on Blackhills/GP90, and 1.5" on nice brass stuff
just skip the hp, ftf by stubbing on lugs |

My scoped DPMS will get about 3" @ 100yds with 55gr Wolf. Same rifle and idiot behind the trigger will get 1" with most any match load and slightly less with handloads. Wolf is not for shooting quarters at 100yds. |

Wolf and accuracy shouldn't be used in the same sentence.
Buy some good ammo

Wolf should only be used for plinking, your just asking for trouble using it for accuracy or self-defense.

What good is the plinking ammo if it shoots say 10 MOA.
Accurate and cheap plinking ammo would be great for practicing. |

Everybody seems to pick on poor ole WOLF!
Wolf is perfect for whats it made for haveing a good time plinking at the range and saveing money! Also I wouldnt want to bet shot at with WOLF! For showing of what the rifle can really do maybe the 69 bthp my Very First 3 shot group @ 100yards was a clover! I cant do that well with XM193 or wolf |

I would try to 62 grain FMJ. I found it to be more accurate than the 55 grain.

Wolf is great for shooting a clays, milk jugs and charcoal briqquettes. Same with Silver Bear.
After shooting a case of Wolf and working my way through a case of Silver Bear, I'm starting to think about just ponying up for Q3131A from now on. Wolf & SB is great and all, but I do most of my shooting at bullseyes @ 100yds, and to me it feels much more satisfying putting my shots in the 10 and X ring. YMMV |

I have shot wolf through on of my Remington bolt guns and was able to get sub-moa. Though I only shot 1 three shot group.
