I need a good inexpensive ammo for everyday shooting, i have narrowed my choices down to wolf or georgia arm reman ammo.

what do you guys think

this ammo will be used in a bush 16" ar chrome lined, possibly other ar's too.

I too have a Bushmaster 16" and nearly shoot Wolf exclusively.  I have yet to have an issue.  Plus its ~$110 for 1000 rounds.

I'll be switching to Georgia Arms' "Canned Heat" and Wolf for the time being.

I reload.  I can reload for just under $70/1000.  And no, I don't count my time because I enjoy doing it.

I've been trying the zinc plated 62 grain silver bear hollow points.  They seem to work well for me.

I came up with a duplicate handload for XM193, which I practice with. No sense in using up the real thing just punching paper.

In a true arfcom response:   GET BOTH!!!!

Come on guys............somebody had to say it.

I have bought the Georgia Arms canned heat several times at gun shows. Its clean, reliable and accurate. I am also a puppy dog shooter (Wolf) and a WWB fanatic.

My Lake City and Q3131A are going into hiding for awhile.

I'm not saying what I use for practice ammo, because it hasn't been mentioned yet, and I don't want all you clowns causing supply issues!

I tried Wolf 55gr FMJ today in three different ARs with 1:7" twist barrels. In two of them it made 4" groups at 50 yards with 8" flyers in all directions. In the third, an Hbar, it was much better, with one 3" group, followed by 5" flyers. Then the groups opened up...

I tried targets at 100 yards but didn't measure because I was crying too hard. :(

I mostly shoot Barnaul in my AKs and get better groups than this.

I didn't get any malfunctions, but I need better accuracy for the type of shooting I like to do.

PMC has worked great for me, Fed American Eagle too and UMC.

Wolf hasn't.

This really sucks for me. I had been using XM193 for both my plinking, practice, and defensive ammo. I know it's not the best for defensive use, but it sure isn't bad. I like how hot XM193 is. Well, I'm running pretty low on XM193 with about 700 rounds.

I got a case of Wolff for Christmas, so as of now I'm using that to plink with and I'm trying to save my XM193, but I'm really hating the Wolff. The Wolff shoots very softly (it doesn't eject very far), and it also shoots pretty dirty.

What would you guys recommend as the best all-around use .223 if XM193 is no longer available.

I'm thinking either Georgia Arm's Canned Heat or Black Hills Remanufactured.

I  am thinking you will all have to sell them ARs for about $400 each as nobody will want them soon when they cant find xm193 or Q3131,Hahahahahahahahahahahaha damn you guys think the only thing that works in these rifles is what the military shoots? You gotta be kidding,What wont UMC,FAE,BH,S&B,PMC,Winchester white box(40rnd $7.48@wal-mart)punch paper or people in your minds when the SHTF takes place against all them ragheads,zipperheads,etc.etc.etc.?

Geez this same old song and dance has taken place since WW1,Guys just wait and in another 10-15 years the Gulf War will be over and the military will have a 6.8 caliber rifle and then you can bitch as they dont make it then either,Just commercial ammo
