Need info on Hotshot ammo Century is selling now for $82.87/500 ... are they really SS109?  Accuracy?  Reliability?

I think Hotshot's are reloads.  Be very careful if they are.

Hotshot is Igman from Bosnia in commercial packaging.
SS109 is just a bullet spec, not a loaded cartridge spec like M855.

I got a bunch. It burns dirty and smells a bit different, but it is fairly hot it seems. I haven't done formal accuracy tests but it shoots good. No, they are not reloads. The hotshot green tip stuff is the same as the white-boxed Igman black tipped 5.56.

Thanks, I thought I saw a thread that said some of the Hotshots they purchased looks like the brass was from reloads.  I've stayed aways from them ever since.

Hotshot is great, a tad dirty, but for that price I'd pick some up.
