What is LC Federal XM193PD, "For Training Purposes Only,"?
I thought I had bought bulk-packed XM193 from Sportsmansguide.com, but each 500 round box has this note on it.
What does it mean?

It generally means is is substandard in some way.  High rate of misfires or underloaded. they recalled it, and rather than eat the whole loss, sold it as "training ammo."

There are a couple of threads explaining this exact issue/question.  Please do a search or go back over all the threads in September and October.

And AR15fan's answer above is totally his opinion and nowhere close to be factual.

Cabela's says:

This newly-manufactured ammunition is produced to mil-spec requirements, but is production overrun. The package includes a required warning label stating "for training use only" since it can't be used to fulfill the original contract; but may be sold as surplus.
