Talking to a C3 dealer friend of mine and bought 10K in reloaded .223(haven't picked it up yet) and he said that I ordered it just under the wire beacause one of the big powder companies bought out another company and the ammo was going up $20/1000 on the reloads because of an increase in powder costs.  Of course the cost of natural gas/oil is up and that is used in the manufacturer also, so that might be another reason.  Anybody else heard this?

Generally it isn't a good idea to buy reloaded ammo, there are a couple of exceptions like Black Hills that are high quality, but most reloaded ammo you can buy is of questionable quality.

Normally, I would avoid reloaded ammo(Black Hills excepted) like the plague, but this dealer is a friend from High School(30+ years ago) and have been dealing with him for 20 years.  What is bought is the ONLY stuff he recommeded as quality, otherwise he says stay away from the stuff if you can.
