I am getting a J&T kit, the question that i have is.  Do J&T kits work better with a particular size round or will either work the same?

Depends on Barrel TWIST, if you are gettin 1/12 you need to stick with 55 gr. but if its 1/9 or 1/7 either will work, but honestly I would get abox of each and see which does better grouping ,etc. Plus cost factor and availability play a role in all that.
